This stay was in collaboration The Balmoral, Edinburgh. A Rocco Forte hotel. (ad).

When I received an email asking me if I’d like to stay at The Balmoral to celebrate their re-opening after lockdown, I couldn’t have replied yes any faster. Long-time followers will know that The Balmoral is one of my favourite destinations for a special occasion in Edinburgh, there is a certain magic in the air when you step inside this Rocco Forte hotel.
The Balmoral is a much-loved Edinburgh institution, famed for its landmark clocktower from it’s origins as a railway hotel. You will see the clocktower standing proud in many photos of the city-scape of Edinburgh, but the interiors are just as special. With seasonal design changes to the hotel’s entrance, on this occasion we were welcomed with ‘The Balmoral in bloom’. A stunning floral display that spread through the hotel entrance into floating features in the lobby.
This is one of our first stays when we’ve not rushed about trying to visit other city landmarks. We took full opportunity to relax in the room, have dinner and cocktails in Brasserie Prince and the ultimate hotel luxury – breakfast in bed.
Zack and I have marked many a special occasion with a glass of champagne in Bar Prince, I fall further in love with the interiors every time I step through the door. The marble bar tops, the studded teal leather seating and the ambient lighting make it oh-so stylish.
It was another amazing visit and we will definitely be making a return to the bar soon.
