Lip of the Day

So you guys might have seen over on my Instagram that I have started a new weekly feature ‘Lip of the Day ‘. It’s no secret how much I love my lipstick, so I thought this feature would be a nice way to share some lipsticks I am currently loving with you all.

Lip of the Day: Tom Ford

I thought Tom Ford was the perfect brand to introduce this feature to my blog with as he thinks: “there is no more dramatic accessory than a perfect lip. It is the focus of the face and it has the power to define a woman’s whole look.” And I could not agree more.

This week I received a couple of Tom Ford samples while shopping in Harvey Nichols. I thought this was a great opportunity to share some of the shades with you as Tom Ford can be such a luxury purchase.

First of all, the textures – they weren’t what I expected at all. They are focused on giving a luminous fullness to your natural lips. All 3 are high-pigment, packing a punch in both the hydration and colour departments. Ultra creamy, incredibly smooth application and an unexpected staying power. Le Mépris: a bright, medium coral with warm undertones and a very fine micro-shimmer. Full-coverage, high-shine lip colour which works to moisturise lips while delivering long-lasting vivid colour.

Smoke Red: a deep, berry tones red with satin finish. Creamy, smooth and rich in colour.

Scarlet Rouge: a medium red with warm undertones and a satin sheen. The colour payoff is almost opaque in a single stroke. An ultra creamy texture with an incredibly smooth application.:
