Bloom & Wild
The UK’s most popular online florist Bloom & Wild have collaborated on a luxury collection curated by iconic florist to the Royals and the stars, Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart. Bloom & Wild are known for their clever bouquets that fit through your letter box. Each box is carefully packed by hand. The delicate blooms are individually netted for you to assemble your own beautiful creation (see my tips from Nikki below). The letterbox service is also available by subscription, this makes a lovely gift idea!
Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart
Nikki Tibbles Wild at Heart is among the UK’s finest premiere florists. Renowned for her opulent and creative approach to blooms. Her unique style has earned her an A-list following with commissions from some of the worlds most luxurious brands and venues such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Claridges and Kensington Palace. Nikki has collaborated with Bloom & Wild to create a stunning collection for their online customers. The collection consists of two letterbox editions and one hand tied bouquet, starting at £38.
To celebrate the launch of this collaboration Nikki hosted an exclusive workshop at the stunning G&V Hotel Edinburgh, I was lucky enough to attend. We learnt how to pick & design our very own bouquet – Wild at Heart style. We created a bouquet in the style of Nikki’s Red Skies hand-tied bouquet that is part of the collaboration.
How to make the most of your bouquets
Here are the top tips I picked up on how to make the most of your bouquets from Nikki herself…
When assembling the bouquet – hold the stems in one hand twisting as you add each stem, to create a dome effect.
Keep larger stems, like the Hydrangea above, for outer layers.
If possible trim your stems and change the water every day.
DO NOT add bleach or sugar, that is an old wives tale that does not work.
DO put a Milton Sterilising Tablet in with your stems.
Make sure there is no foliage in the water – it will rot and kill your flowers faster.
Keep your bouquet as cool as possible, central heating will dry them out.
Special thank you’s to the lovely ladies Debbie Byres & Sarah Howden for the invitation.
