This autumns beauty trends are for women who are not afraid to make a statement. I love to change my makeup routine seasonally. This year, the transition from summer to autumn has seen me swap red lips for fuchsia, ditch black eye liner and add earthy-neutrals to my eye shadows.
My autumn makeup colour palette is going to consist of berries, coppers, rose-golds and burnt-oranges. I love keeping my eyes toned down and earthy while adding a vibrant pop of colour to the lips. Here are some of my current favourite picks.
SKIN
My base routine hasn’t changed for autumn, these products really work for my skin and I will continue to use them.
FOUNDATION: bareMinerals BarePro ‘Sanstone’ for full coverage or Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Weightless ‘Warm Natural’ when I want something lighter on my skin.
CONCEALER: Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer ‘Custard’ is my under-eye go-to with bareMinerals BarePro Concealer ‘Medium Warm’ – for blemishes.
BRONZER: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer ‘Nude Bronze Light’ has been my favourite bronzer for my skin-tone for a long time, I also use this as my eyeshadow base.
EYES
EYESHADOW: Fenty Moroccan Spice Palette has been my go-to to create different looks for the eyes this season. See palette swatches here.
MASCARA: My eyes water constantly in autumn between wind & central heating, this is my fabouitre waterproof mascara EVER! It truly does not budge and keeps its volume all day.
CURLERS: My eyelashes are super straight so I always curl after I have applied mascara. I find if I curl them before, the curl drops.
LIPS
I have made a move towards berries and fuchsia tones for autumn. They create a playful feel to a makeup look. I also find berry shades make my eye colour pop. I love bareMinerals ‘OMG’, it lasts through my many coffees and stays smooth all day. In the evenings I prefer to move to deeper tones for a more grown-up, sexier look with Nars Power Pigment in ‘Warm Leatherette’ and Sisley Phyto Lip Twist Matte ‘Ruby’.
