Explore this season’s luxury fragrances from fresh and floral to decadent and rich, and find a new ‘scent love’. Rich and warming scents always spring to mind when I think about winter scents, but these exciting launches selected by John Lewis are all about full-bodied florals.
I always look for notes that I am attracted to, for me this year that has been all things Tuberose. I could not have been more excited to see it pop up in several of the fragrances in the Winter Scents edit. Before I chose my wedding perfume, I knew I wanted the heart note to be Tuberose. To me, there is something so sexy and mysterious about it as a fragrance note. It is a rich, creamy floral that has an air of velvety opulence to it, a grownup floral. My personal favourite from the collection is Gucci Bloom EDP, discover the full collection below.
The striking new scent from Hermès is for the free spirit. A daring fragrance woven with ginger and sensual tuberose to create a floral, spicy and oriental perfume. A hand-tied silk ribbon playfully graces every bottle, each one unique.
Envisioned as a thriving garden of flowers, Bloom is created to unfold like its name. Notes of natural tuberose and jasmine leave an unexpectedly rich white floral scent on the skin. Rangoon Creeper, a plant that changes colour when it blooms, infuses a powdery, floral edge.
A modern, radiant scent that opens with vibrant top notes of vert de mandarine. At its heart, the precious iris flower which is long associated with Tiffany as a recurring motif in its jewellery designs. Each spritz dries down to a sensual finish on the skin with warm nuances of patchouli wrapped in gentle musky notes.
A heady fragrance with a sultry, almost oriental quality. The intensity of the fragrance is achieved by magnifying the tuberose, ylang-ylang and patchouli at the heart of its composition, creating an enriched scent.
Oooh boy, do I love Bottega Venetta Fragrances. When Zack wears Pour Homme Extrême I go weak at the knees. This new offering from the brand remains authentic to Bottega Veneta’s enduring principles of outstanding craftsmanship and innovative design. It is a sophisticated scent centred around the petals of a velvety rose, and my second favourite from this edit. Opening with top notes of bergamot and pink peppercorn, the heart of the rose provides an unexpected intense touch that ignites the senses.
This fragrance is a blend of three iris varieties that creates a reassuring earthiness and warmth. With zegna bergamot carefully woven through the heart, a sophisticated freshness is revealed. Jasmine is paired with violet and musk to enhance a modern style of fragrance with an intoxicating composition.
